Jim Burton

Jim Burton has been successfully selling Real Estate in St. John's for 23 Years. He obtained his "FRI", Fellow of the Real Estate Institute in 1996 from The Real Estate Institute of Canada and the "MVA" Market Value Appraiser - Residential from the Canadian Real Estate Association in 1998. Founder of "The Jim Burton Sales Team" in 1998, he is a past & current facilitator of Real Estate Education & Motivational Courses for Realtors in the St. John's area. The Jim Burton Sales Team has been consistently placed in the "Top 5" in Atlantic Canada since 1998. Jim is also a co-owner of three RE/MAX offices in St. John's & Mt. Pearl area.

A multi-engine, instrument rated commercial pilot with 15,000 flight hours, Jim owns and operates a seasonal Airline, North Eastern Sky Services Ltd., with his Dehavilland Beaver Floatplane in Labrador. He also owns and operates Flowers River Lodge Ltd., one of Newfoundland's premier Atlantic Salmon fly-fishing destinations.

Currently, Jim is an Advisory Board member of Source Security & Investigations Inc., member of the Board of Director's of the "Janeway Children's Hospital Foundation", a member of the Board of Director's of the Newfoundland & Labrador Brain Injury Association, a fundraising committee member for the new YMCA Building in St. John’s and a member of the St. John’s Northwest Rotary Club’s 2010 Gala Dinner Auction Committee. He’s also the 2010 Honourary Chairperson of Volunteer Week in Newfoundland & Labrador. Jim is a past Chairperson of the CHBA Home Show 2009, 2008 & 2007. His past community contributions are many & include past Chairperson for the Gala Dinner & Auction 2009 & 2007 of the St. John's Northwest Rotary Club, co-chairperson of the "2006 RE/MAX Concert for the Cure" in aid of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. He is also a past Director of the St. John's Real Estate Board and a previous Director of the Canadian Homebuilders Association - Eastern Newfoundland and the St. John's Board of Trade.
