Jim Burton has been successfully
selling Real Estate in St. John's for 26 Years. He obtained his
"FRI", Fellow of the Real Estate Institute in 1996 from The Real
Estate Institute of Canada and the "MVA" Market Value Appraiser -
Residential from the Canadian Real Estate Association in 1998. Founder of
"The Jim Burton Sales Team" in 1998, he is a past & current
facilitator of Real Estate Education & Motivational Courses for Realtors in
the St. John's area. The Jim Burton Sales Team has been consistently placed in
the "Top 5" in Atlantic Canada since 1998. Jim is also a co-owner of
three RE/MAX offices in St. John's & Mt. Pearl area.
A multi-engine, instrument rated
commercial pilot with 15,000 flight hours, Jim owns and operates a seasonal
Airline, North Eastern Sky Services Ltd., with his Dehavilland Beaver
Floatplane in Labrador. He also owns and operates Flowers River Lodge Ltd., one
of Newfoundland & Labrador's premier Atlantic Salmon fly-fishing
destinations and Igloo Lake Lodge, one of Newfoundland & Labrador’s trophy
Brook Trout Lodges.
Jim is a member of the Board of
Director's of the "Rotary Club of St. John's Northwest
" ( Chair -Fundraising Committee ) and a
member of the Board of Director’s of Hope Air ( Chair - Fundraising Committee
).

He's also past
Honorary Chairperson of Newfoundland& Labrador Volunteer Week 2010 and a

Director of the NL Brain Injury Association & the Janeway Children's
Hospital Foundation. His past community contributions are many & include
Judge at the Annapolis Valley Apple Blossom Pageant 2008, past Chairperson for
the St. John’s Northwest Rotary Club Gala Dinner & Auction, 2012, 2009&
2007, co–chairperson of the "2006 RE/MAX Concert for the Cure" in aid
of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, past Chairperson of the Cowan Heights
United Church Board of Management & Past President of the Cowan Heights
United Church Men's Club. He is also a past Director of the St. John's Real
Estate Board and a previous Director of the Canadian Homebuilders Association
–Eastern Newfoundland and the St. John's Board of Trade.
